I was raised in West Palm Beach, Florida

My Family Moved to West Palm Beach in 1950 and Settled in a new house
just West of Parker Avenue, in-between Forest Hill and Southern Blvd.

Right behind our house was Phillip and Marie Parker, for which Parker
Ave was named after his Family. His Father was a early homesteader of the
West Palm Beach area. His Father even worked the Barefoot Mailman routes
occasionally. I got to be good friends with Phillip and he told many great
stories about early Florida.

To Build their Home, Building materials were bought down the Intercoastal
Waterway and they had to move it from barges uphill to a elevation of 32ft.
This ridge running North and South for about a mile later became known as
Pine Ridge. for the large number of Florida Pine trees in the area. This is one of
highest elevation areas in West Palm Beach, with a view to the East and West !

This is quite Another Interesting Story that I am working on !
