To all my Friends and Well Wishers ....
A quick note to let all know that I am doing much better in my
recovery from my June 24th Bladder Surgery.
 My last Drain was removed Friday August 6th.
.I have been able to make short trips out in my own car
to the Markets for food and drug stores.

Its been a Rough 6 weeks, but its almost Over!

A milestone Occurred on Sunday August 1st, my 65th Birthday !!

As they say, Where did all the years go? , I hope to have many more !

At times during my 8 month ordeal I had my doubts if I would see that day.
But I have !
Now I can get a Free Lifetime Florida Fishing and Hunting License.

I Have been a Fool to have Smoked most of my Adult Life ......

I got some Bad news about a Tennis ball size tumor found in my Bladder
by a  Cat Scan done December 18, 2009 at the VA Hospital in Miami.

I had no clue of such a problem, thank God that a Cat Scan was ordered by the
VA Doctor in the Broward Outpatient Clinic, after a slight bout with Diverticulitis,
caused by me eating my beloved Hot Dogs with Sauerkraut.

 I have had a series of Bone Scan, Pet Scan, and minor Surgeries.

I have presently finished a 11 week Chemo Therapy treatment program, after
which time I had Pet scan tests and improvement was shown.

My Right kidney has been blocked by the tumor from draining correctly
during the last 6 months, with no problems so far.

But Now is the time to have major surgery and remove my bladder and
proceed with other reconstructive procedures !

I am now scheduled for about 8 hours of surgery on June 24th

Wish me Luck in getting through this problem ... And and Pray for Me

The VA has proved to be a Wonderful place for treatment and I have only Good
Things to say about all the Staff and Doctors !

Now!
